Benjamin Herrington of Century High School in Bismarck, N.D., is the winner of the 2024 vocal scholarship competition.
I have been singing in choir since the second grade through Central Dakota Children's Choir, and I have been doing musical theater at Sleepy Hollow for the last six years. I also have been awarded stars at State vocal music competition, and last year, I got an outstanding performance for a duet.
The winner of the scholarship competition will receive a $1000 scholarsip to the attend the college or university of their choice for the 2024-2025 school year. He will also have the opportunity to perform his solo as the featured soloist at BMCC's spring concert on April 27, 2024 at 7:30 PM.
We are so grateful to all the singers who competed today, to their families, and to their teachers.
